How to Care For Your Masterpiece
No sealing or polishing needed
Quartz is one of the hardest minerals. Pure Quartz is generally clear or colorless and arguably your most durable option. Quartz countertops are made of Quartz mineral combined with a binding material such as resin. Because Quartz is an engineered stone, it can be cleaned with dish soap and a soft cloth, e.g., microfiber daily and a glass or surface cleaner, along with a nonabrasive sponge to remove any stains.
Requires sealing every six months to a year
Granite is known for its strength, durability, and variety of color and grain. It’s so strong that it can handle hot pots and pans as well as abrasion from sharpened knives. Granite is a natural stone that needs to be sealed at least once a year. Sealer can be bought from most local hardware stores and is very easy to apply. We recommend cleaning your countertops with hot, soapy water and advise against daily use of acidic cleaners
Very sensitive to acidic products
Marble is known to be a high-maintenance stone that can scratch and stain easily due to it being a softer stone. Many acidic foods and liquids can stain the stone quite easily, and these stains are almost impossible to remove. Sealing repels staining agents, but it doesn’t make marble stain-proof; don’t let them sit on the stone for too long.
Requires sealing every six months to a year
Quartzite is a semi-precious, pure quartz material, making it very durable and resistant to stains and burns. It offers cool colors like marble but with the durability of granite and quartz. Quartzite needs to be sealed annually, depending on your cleaning regimen. We recommend cleaning quartzite countertops with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, minimizing the use of abrasive cleaners.
